Bespoke early 17th century stays with pièce d'estomac.

These stays create the historically correct shape of this period supporting your bust and shaping your waist.

They are made of liner or cotton fabric and they are lined with cotton or linen; they feature a smooth covered pièce d'estomac and tabs over the hips to protect your skin and support the petticoat.

Options for the corset/stays boning:

Half boned stays = flexible steel bones (this option is the one shown in the pictures)

Full boned stays= synthetic whalebone

(Difference between flexible steel bones and synthetic whalebones: the first are heavier, they are less inclined to bend if stored incorrectly or due to body heat but they are more sensitive to perspiration.
The second are lighter and, even if they get slightly bent, the corset can be restored with pressing.
Both types of boning combine stiffness and flexibility suitable for this type of garment and historical time period)

These stays have a front spiral lacing and the eyelets can be
-hand sewn with linen or silk thread
-metal eyelet hand-covered with thread (this option has slightly larger eyelets)

The corset will be made in cotton or linen and with the color/colors of your choice.
Send a message to know the available combinations or if you want/prefer a different fabric.
*fabric or color availability depends on the suppliers and can change from season to season*
