These stays are suitable for 1770's and 1780's attire; they create the historical shape of this period supporting your bust and shaping your waist.
 
They are made of linen or cotton fabric, they are lined with cotton, and the boning is synthetic whalebone.
The straps are adjustable, a ribbon is hand stitched over each seam as decoration and the side gore is topstitched by hand with silk thread.
The binding all around the corset is hand sewed and it's made in the same fabric of the stays.
These stays have spiral back lacing and an adjustable front opening: the worked eyelets are made with silk thread and they are offset to allow spiral lacing.(it can be requested a version with polyester thread too if you prefer to not have any animal fibers in your garment).

The stays will be made in cotton or linen and with the color/colors of your choice, but the lining will always be undeyed or natural white.
While white linen or cotton it's always available, for other colors please send a message to check color availability.

Any design/fabric change and/or any addition of decorative details must be requested before purchase and involve a variation in costs.
Your fabric choice must be communicated before purchase.

Measurements
Once you have placed your order, you will receive a list of the measurements that will be needed to make your bespoke garment/ garments plus a diagram / tutorial that will show you how to correctly take those measurements.

Mock-up and fitting
Once I have received your measurements I will make a mock-up of the corset: this prototype will be necessary to achieve the correct fitting for these stays.
 
The mock up service is provided both for customers who can come by the studio for fittings and for customers living abroad.
Customers living abroad will receive the mock-up via courier: we will schedule a video call in which we are going to check the fitting and, once any changes have been established, the customer will send the prototipe back to Elaine's studio (please note: the cost of the mock-up shipment, return and custom fees are charged to the customer).
 
The cost of the mock-up and fitting is already included in the price of this corset but the eventual shippings fees are not so please note: before placing your order send via message or at elainecouture.info@gmail.com the shipping address, your height and bust-chest-hips circumference so I can calculate the cost of the shipping and return cost and add it to your total.
Instead if you come to try it at the studio there will be no shipping costs to add.
 
Processing time:
After the purchase, the fabric selection and receiving your measurements it takes about  45 / 65  business days for the stays to be completed.
 
Your bespoke order will take part of a production cycle in which other garments and accessories are created. For this reason it's recommended to order your gown in advance of your event/historical re-enactment/wedding date because not always it will be possible to speed your custom order.
 
Shipping
These stays will be shipped via courier. 
Shipping is tracked and insured: depending on which service you chose at check-out, the courier could request a direct signature to deliver the package.
For non EU countries: custom charges are not included in the shipping or item price.
Customs charges are to be covered by the customer at delivery.
